Was a redshirt with the UCI program in 2009...graduate of Fremont High School in Sunnyvale where he was 2008 MVP of the Santa Clara Valley Athletic League...was first team All-SCVAL in 2007 and 2008...named to the All-Central Coast Section honorable mention squad in 2008...parents are Ben and Michon Mahoney.
