UC Irvine Competes at MPSF Tournament This Weekend

IRVINE, Calif. --- UC Irvine, the No. 6 seed, faces third-seeded California Friday (Nov. 27) at 1:30 p.m. in a quarterfinal game of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Tournament at USC's McDonald's Swim Stadium.
Coach Marc Hunt's Anteaters carry a 15-11 overall record into the tournament while Cal is 20-5.
The Golden Bears defeated UCI, 13-10, in an MPSF game at Berkeley Oct. 31.
Senior Cole Bielskis and junior Brandon Johnson lead the `Eaters in scoring with 44 goals each while senior Tom Kruip has scored 43. Seniors Greg Enloe and James Frank have 30 and 24 goals, respectively, with junior Kyle Kruip scoring 22.
Junior goalie Matt Johnson has 169 saves in 24 games and senior Erik Evered has recorded 42 stops in seven contests.
