George Libbon is in his third season as an assistant coach at UC Irvine.

At UCI, Libbon will direct the recruiting efforts as well as all scheduling.

Libbon came to UCI with more than 25 years of coaching experience, including coaching overseas and working with head coach Molly Goodenbour as an assistant coach at Chico State for two years (2006-08).

Libbon was the athletic director and head men's basketball coach at Chemeketa Community College in Salem, Oregon from 1991-2004. He served as an assistant men's coach at San Jose State from 1982-84 and had stints at the University of Portland (1984-85) and the University of Oregon (1985-1990).

Libbon is a graduate of Long Beach State University.
