Irvine, Calif. - UC Irvine junior guard Rebecca Maessen has earned All-Big West Honorable Mention distinction the conference office announced Monday.

Maessen leads the Anteaters with a 12.9 scoring average. She is ranked seventh in the Big West in scoring, ninth in three-point field goal percentage at .363 (37-102), ninth in three-pointers made (1.32) and 10th in offensive rebounds (1.86).

She has recorded points in double-figures 19 times this season, including four 20-plus point performances. Maessen has led the Anteaters in scoring 11 times this year.

It is Maessen's first league honor.

UC Irvine will play Cal State Fullerton in the first round of the Big West Tournament Wednesday (Mar. 11) at approximately 2:30 p.m. at the Anaheim Convention Center.
