Irvine Races in Collins Cup

Newport, Calif.- The UC Irvine women came up short in a hard fought battle with home bay rivals Orange Coast College on April 7, 2007. Both women's eights trained vigorously through out the season to claim their home course championship.

With Irvine's time just 3 seconds behind OCC, it brings the record to UC Irvine 9 wins and OCC 5 wins since the races conception in 1993. Irvine looks forward to besting their performance on their home course next weekend against Chapman, UC Santa Barbara, and Long Beach State.
