Women's Golf:
Anteaters Finish Ninth At Dick McGuire Invitational

Albuquerque, NM – The UC Irvine women’s golf team finished in ninth place at the Dick McGuire Invitational at the University of New Mexico Championship Golf Course Sunday.
The Anteaters finished ninth in the 18-team field after recording a 54-hole total of 898 (304-294-300). Pepperdine had four players finish in the top 12 and claimed the team title with a score of 859 (288-287-284) seven shots ahead of host New Mexico at 866.
Sophomore Joy Trotter (74-74-76) and junior Hillary Packard (77-73-74) led UCI with a 24th place finish, each carding a score of 224. Packard shot one-over par on the last 36 holes of the tournament. Senior Mariko Makabe finished in a tie for 29th place with a three-round score of 225 (77-73-75). Sophomore Lalita Patipaksiri was tied for 45th with a 227 (78-74-75) and freshman Michelle Park was tied for 74th place with a total of 233 (76-78-79).
