UC Irvine Women's Golf Leads Lady Aztec Fall Classic

San Diego, Calif. -- UC Irvine leads the Lady Aztec Fall Classic after the first day of competition at the Salt Creek Golf Course with sophomore Patty Chawalitmetha leading individually. Chawalitmetha shot a 2-under par 70 and is two shots ahead of teammate Kim Lorenzana and Hawaii's Lisa Kajihara who each posted even par 72 Monday. As a team, the Anteaters recorded a first round score of 297 and have a four shot lead over Hawaii (301). East Tennessee State is in third (302) and host San Diego is fourth (304) with Eastern Washington and Nevada tied for fifth with a score of 305. Freshman Sarah Fox is 18th after shooting a 76 on the first 18, while freshman Hillary Packard is 50th with a score of 79. Senior Selaneé Henderson is 100th after carding an 89. The tournament concludes with 18 holes Tuesday.
