UC Irvine Finishes 10th at Kent Youel Invitational

KAPOLEI, O`ahu - The UC Irvine women's golf team finished 10th at the Kent Youel Invitational at the Kapolei Golf Course Wednesday. The Anteaters shot a 309 on the final round to move up one spot to 10th with a 54-hole score of 935 (316-310-309). Top-ranked UCLA won the tournament with a score of 881. Third-ranked Southern California (885) was second followed by California (896), Oregon State (917) and San Jose state (918) to round out the top five. Bruin teammates Maria Jose Uribe and Tiffany Joh shared the individual honor, each finishing with a one-over 217. Sophomore Patty Chawalitmetha (78-74-81) and senior Selaneé Henderson (81-76-76) led UCI, tying for 33rd place with a score of 233. Freshman Hillary Packard tied for 42nd after carding a 235 (78-77-80), while senior Kim Lorenzana shot a 236 (79-83-74) to end the tournament in 45th place.
