Women's Golf Is 6th At USF Invitational

San Francisco, Calif. -- The UC Irvine women's golf team is tied for 6th place following the first two rounds at the University of San Francisco Invitational held at the Richmond Country Club Monday. The Anteaters rebounded from an opening round 317 to shoot a 301 on the second 18 and finished the first day with a score of 618 which was tied with host USF for 6th place. Texas Texas leads the nine-team filed with a 606 (305-301) total. Senior Selaneé Henderson is tied for second after carding a 146 (75-71), three shots off the leader Alejandre Guacaneme of UNLV who had a 143 (69 74) over 36 holes. Sophomore Patty Chawalitmetha (78-77) and senior Kim Lorenzana (80-75) are tied for 20th with a score of 155, while freshman Sarah Fox is 38th with a score of 163 (85-78). Sophomore Mariko Makabe shot a 166 (84-82) and is in 47th place. The tournament concludes with 18 holes Tuesday. 1. Texas Tech 305 301 606
