Jane Chin Named Big West Women's Golfer Of The Year

San Luis Obispo, Calif. - UC Irvine senior Jane Chin was named Big West Women's Golfer of the Year.

Chin finished in a tie for second at the just completed Big West Championships with a final round of 71, the only women's player to shoot under par for the tournament. Chin earned medalist honors three times this season and is currently ranked No. 1 in the Golfstat rankings with a 71.24 scoring average. She is ranked seventh by GolfWeek.

Chin joins Walailak Satarak (2002) and Selaneé Henderson Henderson (2006) in winning the Player of the Year title.

Junior Patty Chawalitmetha, sophomore Hillary Packard and freshman Joy Trotter were named to the All-Big West second team.
