Irvine, Calif. -- UC Irvine women's golfer Selaneé Henderson will compete as a member of Team USA at the World University Games August 14-17 at the Watermill Golf and Gardens in Nakhonnayok, Thailand.

It is the first time that golf will be included in the World University Games with competition contested over 54 holes.

Henderson was a member of the 2006 U.S. team that competed in the World University Golf Championships, previously held in opposite years with the World University Games.

Team USA includes Henderson along with Mary Jacobs (Arizona) and Jennifer Tangtiphaiboontana (Stanford) and will be coached by former Iowa women's coach Diane Thomason. The men's squad consists of Ryan Brehm (Michigan State), Bronson Burgoon (Texas A&M), Braxton Marquez (Scottsdale CC) and Aaron Goldberg (San Diego State).
