Women's Golf:
U.S Women's Golf Moves Into Fourth Overall
Aug. 16, 2007 BANGKOK, Thailand - The U.S. women's golf team moved up two more spots after the third round at the World University Games and are currently in fourth place with a team score of 457. UC Irvine's Selaneé Henderson is in 45th place with a three-day total of 260 (83-91-86). Americans Jennifer Tangtiphaiboontana and Mary Jacobs are tied for sixth (228) and eighth (229) respectively. Ireland leads the women's team competition with a three-day total of 447 and on the men's side, Japan (647) holds a three-shot lead over Thailand to top the field. The U.S. men are in sixth place with a three round total of 659. U.S. men's golfer Aaron Goldberg shot an even par 72 for the second consecutive day and has a three day total of 214 (70-72-72) to hold a share of the lead. Teammate Ryan Brehm is two shots back and tied for sixth at 216 (68-74-74). The USA women will be back on the course tomorrow morning for the fourth and final round. Tee times for the women begin at 7:40 a.m. and the team will be playing with Chinese Taipei and Japan. The men will tee off starting at 11:30 a.m. with Great Britain and Chinese Taipei.
