UC Irvine Sits In Ninth At Dick McGuire Invitational

Albuquerque, NM – The UC Irvine women’s golf team sits in ninth place after the first day of the Dick McGuire Invitational at the University of New Mexico Championship Golf Course Saturday.
The Anteaters shot a 304 on the first round and a 294 on the second 18 holes to sit in ninth place with a score of 598. Peperdine leads the 18-team field with a team total of 575 (288-287).
Sophomore Joy Trotter is in 23rd place after leading UCI with a two-over par 148 (74-74). Junior Hillary Packard and senior Mariko Makabe each shot even par 73 on the second round and are tied for 33rd with a 36-hole score of 150 (77-73). Sophomore Lalita Patipaksiri is 45th after carding a 152 (78-74) and freshman Michelle Park is 60th with a total of 154 (76-78).
The tournament concludes with 18 holes Sunday.
