Denver, Colo. – The UC Irvine women’s golf team is in fifth place at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate after the first day of competition at the Highlands Ranch Golf Course.

 

The Anteaters shot a 304 and sit in fifth place, 17 shots behind host and leader Denver who was the only team under par Monday with a score of 287.

 

Senior Jane Chin shot a three-under 69 and is in fourth place after the first 18 holes.  In their first collegiate round of golf, freshmen Joy Trotter shot a 77 (24th) and Lalita Patipaksiri carded a 78 (31st). Juniors Patty Chawalitmetha and Henna Cho each shot an 80 and are in 40th position.


 

 

 

UCI continues with 18 holes Tuesday and 18 holes Wednesday.
