San Luis Obispo, Calif. -- With four golfers in the top five spots the UC Irvine women's golf team leads the Coast BMW Intercollegiate after 36 holes at the Monarch Dunes Golf Club.

The Anteaters shot a two round total of 611 (306-305) Monday and lead host Cal Poly by 30 shots (641) with 18 holes to play.

Senior Jane Chin is the individual leader with rounds of 72 and 73 on the par-71 course for a three-over-par 145 total and a nine-stroke lead over teammate Joy Trotter who carded a 154 (77-77). Junior Patty Chawalitmetha is in third with a score of 155 (78-77) and sophomore Hillary Packard is fifth with a 36-hole total of 157 (79-78). Freshman Lalita Patipaksiri is 16th with a score of 165 (83-82).

The tournament concludes with 18 holes Tuesday.
