Day One Results

Las Cruces, N.M. -- UC Irvine holds a two shot lead after the first round of the Price's "Give 'em Five" Intercollegiate at the New Mexico State Golf Course.

The Anteaters, who are the defending tournament champions, shot a 294 and hold atwo-shot advantage over Idaho (296). Fresno State is third (298) followed by San Diego State in fourth (300) and Oregon State and Baylor tied for fifth (303).

Sophomore Joy Trotter shares the individual lead after firing a three-under par 69. Junior Hillary Packard is tied for seventh with a 73 on the first round, while sophomore Lalita Patipaksiri and senior Henna Cho are tied for 26th with a score of 76. Senior Mariko Makabe is tied for 39th after shooting a 77 Monday.

The tournament continues with 18 holes on Tuesday and 18 holes on Wednesday.
