Women's Golf:
UC Irvine Continues To Lead At New Mexico State Invitational

Las Cruces, NM -- The UC Irvine women’s golf team continues to lead after the second day at the Price’s “Give ‘Em Five” Invitational at the New Mexico State Golf Course Tuesday.
The Anteaters shot a second round total of 302 and remain three shots ahead of Oklahoma with a two-day total of 595 (293-302). Oklahoma had the low round of the day with a 299 and moved up on spot to second. Baylor fell one spot and is third (601), while Oral Roberts is fourth (608) and host New Mexico State is fifth (611).
Senior Jane Chin is in second place with a score of 144 (70-74), two shots behind Missouri’s Julia Potter. Potter shot a tournament low 69 Tuesday and moved into the individual lead with a 36-hole score of 142.
Junior Patty Chawalitmetha is in 16th place with a score of 151 (75-76), while freshmen Joy Trotter (73-79) and Lalita Patipaksiri (75-77) are tied for 19th after each carding a 152. Sophomore Hillary Packard is 24th with a total of 153 (78-75).
The tournament concludes with 18 holes tomorrow.
