Jane Chin Named Big West Golfer Of The Month

Irvine, Calif. – UC Irvine senior Jane Chin ha been tabbed October's Big West Conference Female Golfer of the Month. Chin won all three tournaments in the month of October, capturing the Coast BMW Intercollegiate, Price’s “Give ‘Em Five” Invitational and Kent Youel Invitational. She became the only UC Irvine golfer to win three consecutive tournaments in the program's history. Chin rewrote the record book at the Kent Youel Invitational, firing a 66 on the second round which matches teammate Patty Chawalitmetha for the lowest score in school history. At the same event, she registered the school record for 36-holes (134) and 54-holes (203). Chin is currently ranked fifth nationally in the Golfweek individual rankings and third in the Golfstat Cup standings, while also leading the Anteaters to a team ranking of No. 25 in the lastest Golfstat rankings.
