Women's Soccer:
Anteaters Lose 3-0 at No. 1 UCLA

IRVINE, Calif. - The UC Irvine women's soccer team (1-4) lost 3-0 to No. 1 UCLA Sunday afternoon at Drake Stadium. Lauren Cheney put UCLA up 1-0 as she scored in the 19th minute of the match. Cheney scored again in the 26th minute this time off a rebound of a shot by Lauren Wilmoth. In the 72nd minute, Cheney crossed the ball to Summer Williams who one touched the ball over the goal line to give the Bruins a 3-0 lead. Sophomore keeper Danielle de Seriere (Cerritos/Mayfair HS) made her first start of the season for UCI and picked up seven saves. Keeper Ashley Thompson made one save for the Bruins in 84 minutes and Yiana Dimmitt had no saves in six minutes of action in the net. UCI returns home Friday to host Detroit at 7:00 p.m. at Anteater Stadium.
