IRVINE, Calif. – The UC Irvine women’s soccer team (2-4) defeated Detroit 1-0 Friday night in non-conference play at Anteater Stadium.

Sophomore Alyssa Humphrey (Santa Margarita HS) scored the gamewinning goal for UCI in the 32^nd minute off an assist from junior Amanda Phillips (Dublin/Fullerton College). This is the first career goal for Humphrey.

Sophomore goalkeeper Danielle de Seriere (Cerritos/Mayfair HS) had one save as she picked up her first shutout of the season. Keeper Joanna Hinde had seven saves for the Titans.

The Anteaters return to action Monday as they travel to Cedar City, Utah to take on Southern Utah at 2:00 p.m. MDT at Thunderbird Soccer Field.
