NORTHRIDGE, Calif. – The UC Irvine women’s soccer team (10-6-2, 3-3-1) lost 1-0 at Cal State Northridge Sunday afternoon in Big West action at Matador Soccer Field.
Heidi Farran knocked the ball in from point-blank range off assists from Farryn Townley and Jasmine Pratt in the 51st minute to give the Matadors a 1-0 lead.
Junior keeper Danielle de Seriere (Cerritos/Mayfair HS) had six saves for the ‘Eaters. Keeper Cynthia Jacobo had two saves for CSUN.
The ‘Eaters close out Big West play Thursday as they host Long Beach State at 7:00 p.m. in a Black & Blue Rivalry Series match at Anteater Stadium.
