IRVINE, Calif.  - The UC Irvine women's soccer team (8-8-2, 2-3-2) lost 1-0 to Cal Poly Friday night in Big West play at Mustang Stadium.

 

The Mustangs took a 1-0 lead in the 17th minute as Ashley Vallis crossed the ball to Morgan Miller who knocked it into the net.

 

Sophomore keeper Danielle de Seriere (Cerritos/Mayfair HS) had eight saves on the night for the ‘Eaters. Keeper Coral Hoover had three saves for the Mustangs.

 

The ‘Eaters will conclude the regular season Sunday as they travel to Santa Barbara to take on UC Santa Barbara at 5:00 p.m. in Big West action at Harder Stadium. The Anteaters will advance to the Big West tournament with a win over the Gauchos along with a loss by Pacific to UC Davis.
