SANTA BARBARA, Calif.  - The UC Irvine women's soccer team (8-9-2, 2-4-2) lost 4-0 Sunday night in Big West play at Harder Stadium.

 

The Gauchos took a 1-0 lead in the 23rd minute as Jacqui Simon took a cross from Kylie McDonald and scored from five yards out. Katy Roby blasted a ball from 18 yards out to put UCSB up 2-0 in the 38th minute. Kylie McDonald gave UCSB a 3-0 lead in the 42nd minute. Kailyn Kugler put in a rebound of a shot by Jacqui Simon in the 58th minute to put the Gauchos up 4-0.

 

Senior keeper Erin Henry (Irvine/Mater Dei HS) had four saves in the match for the ‘Eaters. Keeper Ali Cutler had two saves for UCSB.

 

The Anteaters conclude their season with a 8-9-2 record overall and a 2-4-2 record in Big West play to give them a sixth place finish in the Big West.
