ANTEATERS HOST NORTHERN ARIZONA; AT NO. 24 SAN DIEGO: The UC Irvine women’s soccer team (0-1) will host Northern Arizona Friday, August 29 at 1:00 p.m. at Anteater Stadium. The team will then head to San Diego to take on the No. 24 San Diego Toreros Sunday at 6:00 p.m. at Torero Stadium.


ABOUT THE OPPONENTS: The Lumberjacks are 0-1-1 on the year. Cee Cee Odorfer leads NAU with two goals on the year.

The No. 24 Toreros lost 1-0 in overtime to No. 1 USC in their season opener and will face UC Santa Barbara before hosting the ‘Eaters. Keeper Brittany Cameron had three saves in the loss to USC.


 

 


WEEK IN REVIEW: The Anteaters lost 2-0 to UNLV in their season opener. Senior keeper Erin Henry (Irvine/Mater Dei HS) had five saves in the match for the ‘Eaters.


UCI RECORD BOOK
: Sophomore keeper Danielle de Seriere is tied for sixth all-time in shutouts with nine. Senior keeper Erin Henry is 10th all-time with 129 career saves. Henry is tied for 12th all-time with two shutouts. Junior Megan Ortiz (Corona HS) is currently 30th all-time in goals with six and is 40th all-time with 15 points in her career.


HEAD COACH Scott Juniper:
The Anteaters are led by head coach Scott Juniper who is in his second season leading the Anteaters. Juniper led the ‘Eaters to a record of 11-7-2 in 2007 and a third place finish in the Big West Conference.
