ANTEATERS HOST DETROIT; AT SOUTHERN UTAH: The UC Irvine women’s soccer team (1-4) will host Detroit Friday at 7:00 p.m. at Anteater Stadium. The team will then go on the road Monday to Cedar City, Utah to take on Southern Utah at 2:00 p.m. at Thunderbird Soccer Field.

ABOUT THE OPPONENTS: The Titans are 2-1-1 on the year. Selena Stanski leads UDM with four points this season. Keeper Joanna Hinde has a 0.71 goals against average and three shutouts.

WEEK IN REVIEW: The Anteaters went 0-2 on the week with a 3-1 loss at Loyola Marymount and a 3-0 loss at No. 1 UCLA. Sophomore Gilly Acedo (Pasadena HS) had UCI’s lone goal of the week. Sophomore keeper Danielle de Seriere played 135 minutes in the net for the ‘Eaters this week picking up eight saves.

ANTEATER LEADERS: Junior Amanda Phillips (Dublin/Fullerton College) and Gilly Acedo lead the team with two points each. Senior keeper Erin Henry had 14 saves and one shutout to lead UCI in the net.

UCI RECORD BOOK: Sophomore keeper Danielle de Seriere is tied for sixth all-time in shutouts with nine. Senior keeper Erin Henry is tied for eighth all-time with 138 career saves. Henry is tied for 11^th all-time with three shutouts. Junior Megan Ortiz (Corona HS) is currently 30^th all-time in goals with six and is 40^th all-time with 15 points in her career.

HEAD COACH Scott Juniper: The Anteaters are led by head coach Scott Juniper who is in his second season leading the Anteaters. Juniper led the ‘Eaters to a record of 11-7-2 in 2007 and a third place finish in the Big West Conference.
