Kate Berrini Named Big West Player of the Week

IRVINE, Calif. - Junior Kate Berrini (Foster City/Notre Dame HS) was named Big West Player of the Week Monday. Berrini scored four goals at the UC Irvine Invitational, including three against Weber State in the final 15 minutes of the match. Berrini then scored in the 85th minute against Saint Mary's to send that match into overtime. Berrini was named to the UC Irvine Invitational All-Tournament Team. The hat trick against Weber State was the first for an Anteater since Nicole Bucciarelli in 1996.
