Anteaters Host Cal State Fullerton; at UC Riverside

ANTEATERS HOST CAL STATE FULLERTON; AT UC RIVERSIDE: The UC Irvine women’s soccer team (7-6-1, 1-1-1) will host Cal State Fullerton Friday at 7:00 p.m. at Anteater Stadium. The ‘Eaters will then travel to Riverside to face UC Riverside Sunday at 6:00 p.m. at UCR Soccer Stadium. Both contests for UCI this week are Big West Conference matches.
The Highlanders are 5-8-2 overall and 0-3-1 in Big West play. Heidi Garrett has 17 points to lead UCR. Keeper Brittany Goetz has a 1.66 goals against average and two shutouts.
ANTEATER LEADERS: Junior Kate Berrini (Foster City/Notre Dame HS) leads the team with 10 points on four goals and two assists. Sophomore Tanya Taylor (Buena Park/Sunny Hills HS) is second with seven points. Junior Amanda Phillips (Dublin/Fullerton College) and sophomore Alyssa Humphrey (Santa Margarita HS) are tied for third with five points. Senior keeper Erin Henry (Irvine/Mater Dei HS) has 16 saves and one shutout. Sophomore Danielle de Seriere (Cerritos/Mayfair HS) has 22 saves, a 1.50 goals against average and one shutout on the year. Erica Quevedo has a 0.23 goals against average and three shutouts.
