Women's Soccer:
Anteaters Conclude Regular Season at Cal Poly, UCSB

ANTEATERS AT CAL POLY, UC SANTA BARBARA: The UC Irvine women’s soccer team (8-7-2, 2-2-2) will conclude the regular season with a pair of Big West matches on the road. The ‘Eaters will first head to San Luis Obispo Friday to take on Cal Poly at 7:00 p.m. at Mustang Stadium. UCI will then head down the coast to Santa Barbara to take on UC Santa Barbara Sunday at 5:00 p.m. at Harder Stadium. The Anteaters currently are in fifth place in the Big West with eight points. If UCI wins both matches this week they are guaranteed a spot in the Big West Tournament next week.
ABOUT THE OPPONENTS: The Mustangs are 9-8-0 overall and 4-2-0 in the Big West. Ashley Vallis leads Cal Poly with 10 points on the year. Keeper Coral Hoover has a 1.26 goals against average and three shutouts on the year. The Gauchos are 11-5-1 overall and 4-1-1 in Big West play. Genelle Ives has 22 points on eight goals and six assists to lead UCSB. Keepers Ali Cutler and Tammy Lenham have split time in net for the Gauchos this season.
