Judy Christopher Named All-Big West First Team; Four Anteaters Honored

IRVINE, Calif. - Sophomore Judy Christopher (Ontario/Upland HS) was named All-Big West First Team Tuesday as announced by the Big West Conference.

Christopher helped lead the Anteater defense to nine shutouts on the year. Christopher also scored three goals and had one assist. She is the first Anteater to earn All-Big West First Team honors since Caroline Kabe, Hayley McNallan and Alyson Spencer each earned the honor in 2003.

Junior Tanya Taylor (Buena Park/Sunny Hills HS) and freshman Dana Sanderlin (Upland HS) led the 'Eaters with 16 points each with both scoring six goals and recording four assists. This is the third time Taylor has received All-Big West honors after being named honorable mention as a freshman and second team as a sophomore.

Junior keeper Danielle de Seriere (Cerritos/Mayfair HS) started 19 matches for the 'Eaters this year and recorded shutouts in eight of those matches. She had a 0.99 goals against average for the season and had 64 saves. This is the second time that de Seriere has earned honorable mention honors following her initial honor in her freshman season.
