No. 35 Anteaters Beat No. 51 San Diego State 5-2

In doubles, the Aztecs won two of the three matches to claim the doubles point. Senior Becky Bernhard and junior Clare Fermin beat Kathryn Kitts and Sisse Nielsen 8-4 in the No. 1 match for UCI's lone doubles win of the match. Senior Jessica Broadfoot tied the match at 1-1 as she defeated Milana Yusupov 6-3, 6-2 in No. 4 singles. Junior Ali Borowicz beat Olivia Colman 6-3, 6-4 in the No. 6 match to put the `Eaters up 2-1. Clare Fermin defeated Esther Cadua 1-6, 6-4, 6-4 in the No. 3 slot to give UCI a 3-1 lead. Holly Bagshaw beat Becky Bernhard 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 in No. 1 singles to cut the lead to 3-2. Freshman Brooke Bartlett clinched the overall win for UCI as she beat Sisse Nielsen 6-2, 6-7, 6-3 in the No. 5 match. Senior Inna Agababian closed out the match with a 5-7, 6-3, 6-4 win over Eliska Krausova in the No. 2 slot to give UCI a 5-2 win.
