Kristina Smith Named Big West Athlete of the Week

IRVINE, Calif. - Freshman Kristina Smith (Dana Hills HS) was named Big West Athlete of the Week Wednesday for her play from January 25th through February 7th.

Smith went 2-0 in both singles and doubles in her first week of action at UCI. Smith defeated Lindsay Kinstler of USC and Emma Cioffi of San Diego State. Smith and junior Brooke Bartlett (Fountain Valley HS) went 2-0 in doubles against USC and SDSU.

This is the first career Athlete of the Week honor for Smith.
