Stephanie Hammel Named Big West Co-Athlete of the Week

IRVINE, Calif. - Sophomore Stephanie Hammel (Placentia/Valencia HS) was named Big West Co-Athlete of the Week Wednesday.

Hammel defeated then No. 46 Katrina Zheltova of Sacramento State in her lone singles match of the week. Hammel is now ranked 80th nationally in singles.

This is the first time Hammel has won the award this season and the second time in her career.
