NO. 71 ANTEATERS HOST NO. 46 BOISE STATE, NO. 70 CSUN: The No. 71 UC Irvine women's tennis team (9-6, 3-1) will host No. 46 Boise State Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Anteater Tennis Stadium in non-conference play. The team will then host No. 70 Cal State Northrige Sunday at 11:00 a.m. in Big West Conference play at Anteater Tennis Stadium.

ABOUT THE OPPONENTS: The No. 46 Broncos are 13-4 entering the week after beating CSUN 5-2 Sunday. Pichittra Thongdack is BSU's No. 1 singles player.

The No. 70 Matadors  are 9-4 overall and 5-0 in Big West play entering the week and face Long Beach State before heading to UCI. Victoria Brymer is the No. 1 singles player for CSUN.

ANTEATERS RANKED 71^st: The Anteaters are ranked 71^st in the country by the ITA rankings. UCI had it's highest preseason ranking ever as they started the year off ranked 37^th.

The Anteaters finished the 2006-07 season ranked 35th nationally after a first round loss to Texas in the NCAA Tournament to finish with a 21-5 record. UCI was ranked as high as No. 28 in the country during the season as the team won the Big West regular season championship with a perfect 7-0 record in conference play.

ANTEATER LEADERS: Brooke Bartlett leads the team with a 9-3 record. Heidi Kaloi is second with a 8-3 record in singles this season. The doubles team of Borowicz and Bartlett is 5-1 on the year at the No. 3 position to lead the team.
