Pat Bonner is in his second season as an assistant coach with the women's volleyball program. Bonner spent three seasons coaching at Epic Volleyball Club prior to joining the Anteater staff and guided the club's top 16's team to a fifth-place finish in the Southern California Volleyball Association (SCVA) in 2005 and tied for 11th in the nation at the Junior Olympics Open.

In 2004, Bonner served as the head coach for the SCVA High Performance 14-and-Under team and led the squad to a gold medal at the USA Volleyball High Performance Championship.

From 1999 to 2003, Bonner coached at San Diego Volleyball Club, serving as the head coach four of his five years. He began his coaching career in 2002, spending a year as an assistant for the women's program at Alliant International University and for the men's program at San Diego Mesa College.
