IRVINE, Calif. --- Women's volleyball player Juliane Piggott, who played the last two seasons at UCLA, has signed a scholarship agreement with UC Irvine and will join the women's volleyball program this fall, announced by head coach Paula Weishoff.

Piggott, a 6-2 outside hitter, averaged 1.98 kills per set last season for the Bruins. She had 35 total blocks and averaged 1.22 digs per game while firing nine service aces. As a freshman Piggott played 25 matches and posted a 1.24 kill-per-game average. She registered a season-high 10 kills against Arizona. Piggott recorded 15 service winners while adding 20 blocks.

Piggott prepped at Corona Del Mar High School, where she was a three-year letterwinner and was named All-CIF, the Pacific Coast League's Most Valuable Player and the Daily Pilot Athlete of the Year in 2006.
