Kari Pestolesi Named to USA Volleyball National Beach Training Team

IRVINE, Calif. --- Outside hitter Kari Pestolesi (Huntington Beach/Edison HS) has been chosen to be a member of the USA Volleyball National Beach Training Team for the Junior (Under-21) World Championships. Pestolesi, who is one of eight members on the training team, was selected from a pool of 177 players. The team of eight will be narrowed to four by mid-July.

The beach athletes will start training this week in Southern California with Eduardo "Anjinho" Bacil serving as the USA Volleyball's head beach volleyball coach. Assisting Bacil is Jon Aharoni, USAV's coordinator of beach coaching and development.

The site for the Junior (U-21) World Championships have not yet been announced.

The beach training team for the Junior World Championships is as follows:
