No. 11 Anteaters Beat California Baptist 18-3

LA JOLLA, Calif. – The UC Irvine women’s water polo team (2-1) defeated California Baptist 18-3 in the opening round of the Triton Invitational Saturday morning at Canyonview Pool.
Junior Caitlin Haskell (Fresno/Buchanan HS) led UCI with three goals against the Lancers. Freshman Jessica Cardey (Riverside/Poly HS), senior Erin Kiene (Fresno/Clovis West HS), sophomore Katie Croghan (Yorba Linda/Rosary HS), junior Kat Plummer (Thousand Oaks HS) and freshman Rebecca Voytilla (Clovis/Buchanan HS) each had two goals for the ‘Eaters
The ‘Eaters will next face No. 14 UC Santa Barbara at 5:20 p.m. Saturday evening in their second match of the day.
