LA JOLLA, Calif. – The UC Irvine women’s water polo team (3-1) defeated No. 14 UC Santa Barbara 7-6 in overtime in the second round of the Triton Invitational Saturday night at Canyonview Aquatic Center.

Junior Cortney Collyer (Santa Barbara HS) had three goals including the match winning goal in overtime to lead the ‘Eaters against UCSB. Senior Erin Kiene (Fresno/Clovis West HS) had two goals in the match for UCI.

The ‘Eaters will next face No. 10 Loyola Marymount Sunday at 12:30 p.m. in the semifinals of the Triton Invitational at Canyonview Aquatic Center.
