NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. - The No. 1 UCLA Bruins defeated No. 9 Loyola Marymount 11-6 Saturday in the quarterfinals of the UC Irvine Women's Water Polo Invitational at Corona del Mar High School.

The Bruins had seven players score in the match led by Brittany Rowe with three. Katie Rulon and Jillian Krause each had two goals for the Bruins. Crisara Abrams had two goals for the Lions.

UCLA advances to the semifinals Sunday and will play at 10:30 a.m. and LMU will move to the consolation bracket and will play at 8:00 a.m. at Anteater Aquatics Complex.
