NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. - The No. 5 California Golden Bears defeated No. 4 Hawaii 11-9 in overtime Saturday in the quarterfinals of the UC Irvine Women's Water Polo Invitational at Corona del Mar High School.

The Rainbow Wahine scored two goals in the fourth period to send the match into overtime. In the overtime periods, Grace Reynolds and Paige Lorenz scored for Cal to give the Golden Bears a 11-9 win.

California advances to the semifinals and will play UCLA at 10:30 a.m. Sunday and Hawaii will play against Loyola Marymount at 8:00 a.m. in the consolation bracket with both teams playing at Anteater Aquatics Complex.
