IRVINE, Calif. - No. 2 Stanford beat No. 3 USC 7-6 in overtime Sunday in the semifinals of the UC Irvine Women's Water Polo Invitational at Anteater Aquatics Complex.

USC took a 6-3 lead heading into the fourth period before Stanford scored three unanswered goals to send the match into overtime. Koree Blyleven scored the eventual game winner for the Cardinal with 2:01 left in the second overtime period.

Stanford advances to the championship match and will face UCLA at 5:15 p.m. USC will play in the third place match against California at 4:00 p.m. at Anteater Aquatics Complex.
