No. 11 Anteaters Rout Pacific 20-8

The Anteaters outscored Pacific 4-1 in the opening period and led 7-4 at the break. UCI broke away in the third period as they scored seven goals and shutout UOP to take a 14-4 lead. The `Eaters added six more goals in the final period as they went on to defeat the Tigers 20-8. Freshman Caitlin Haskell, senior Nicole Flacco and junior Ashling Taylor each had three goals for UCI in the match. Virginia McConnell led all scorers with four goals for the Tigers.
The 20 goals sets a new school record for goals in a match for the `Eaters breaking the old record of 18 set in 2006 against Pacific. The Anteaters return to action Friday as they host
