IRVINE, Calif. - The UC Irvine women's water polo team has been ranked ninth by the preseason Collegiate Water Polo Association poll.

The 'Eaters finished the 2009 season ranked ninth as well following their Big West Tournament championship.

The ninth ranked Anteaters open the 2010 season Saturday, January 30th as they host the UCI Mini Tournament. UCI takes on Cal State Bakersfield at 12:30 p.m. at Anteater Aquatics Complex in their first match of the season.
