Women's Water Polo:
Three Anteaters Named MPSF Academic All-Conference

IRVINE, Calif. - The UC Irvine women's water polo team had three players named to the 2008 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Academic All-Conferene team. Senior Alli Russell (San Clemente HS), junior Julia Fancher (La Verne/Bonita HS) and junior Sarah Frost (Santa Barbara HS) were UCI's three honorees. To qualify for this honor, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and carry a 3.0 cumulative grade point average. Additionally, the student-athlete must have completed one full academic year at the member institution prior to the season for which they award is received as well as participated in at least fifty percent of the games in his or her respective sport.
