IRVINE, Calif. - The UC Irvine women's water polo team had six players named 2008 All-American Academic by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches.

Senior Jessica Lewis, senior Alli Russell, junior Megan Braun, junior Julia Fancher, junior Sarah Frost and freshman Cortney Collyer each earned the honor.

This is the third award for Russell and Frost and second for Braun.

To be honored a student-athlete needed to be an active participant receiving significant playing time with a cumulative GPA greater than 3.20.
