Planning to redshirt this season....won her section of the 800 meters (2:17.27) and placed seventh in the 1,500 meters (4:38.08) at the 2007 Collegiate Track & Field Classic....was a Big West Conference qualifier in both events....placed third in the 800 meters (2:16.16) at the '07 Big West Challenge Cup....finished sixth in the 1,500 meters at the 2007 Steve Scott Track & Field Invitational....was 45th at the 2006 Big West Cross Country Championships with a time of 24:57.9 over 6,000 meters....finished 24th at the '06 UCSD Triton Classic and 25th at the UCI Invitational.....was ninth in the 1,500 meters (4:59.12) in track at the 2006 Big West Challenge Cup....placed 37th at 2005 UCSD Triton Cross Country Classic with a time of 24:20.8 over 6,000 meters....finished 79th at the '05 UCI Cross Country Invitational...competed at the 2005 Big West Track & Field Championships, recording a time of 2:17.88 in the prelims of the 800 meters....was a four-time All-Grossmont League runner at West Hills High School for coach Bill Cleves....earned All-CIF honors three times and set the school record in the 1,600 meters....was league champion in the 1,600 in 2003 and 2004....was a two-time state finalist in cross country....majoring in psychology and social behavior....a Big West Scholar-Athlete the past two years....was named to the Big West Academic All-Conference team in cross country in 2006....parents are Greg and Barbara Gillespie.
