Patrick Scully enters his first season with the Anteaters in 2024-25 as an assistant coach.
Scully, Tony Stubblefield's first hire at DePaul University in 2021, spent the past three seasons in Chicago as the program's Director of Basketball Operations. His responsibilities with the Blue Demons included player development, scouting, scheduling, team travel, and directing the program's youth camps. Scully, who helped establish a new identity and vision under a new staff, was named to the Silver Waves Media Top 50 "Next Up" list for two straight years (2023, 2024).
Â
A graduate of the University of Oregon, Scully spent eight seasons with the Ducks under the tutelage of Dana Altman.
Â
The program won at least 20 games each of those eight seasons, including a school record 33 games in the 2016-17 season when Oregon reached the Final Four for the first time in 78 years. Oregon played in the NCAA March Madness Tournament seven of Scully's eight seasons with the program, advancing to the Sweet 16 on four occasions in that stretch. In the same time frame, the Ducks also won three regular season PAC-12 championships and PAC-12 Tournament titles.
Â
Scully held a variety of titles at Oregon; his primary responsibilities during his eight seasons included video and analytics, managing the team's social media accounts, and directing the program's team camps.
Â
Scully, the Long Beach native, is joined by his fiancée, Archana Sriram, in his return to Southern California.
